Some of our client testimonials
We approached Mark Goddard following a recommendation from friends. We were after something different from the standard garden of hedged English Box and lawn that seems to be favoured for new gardens in our area. We wanted native plants to bring colour, native animals, birds and butterflies to our new garden. Mark was able to provide a design layout that met these requirements, being generous with his time by setting up several meetings during the process. He has a professional knowledge of garden design, recommending trees of a certain height after taking into account our block orientation and our future house extension. He has a particular talent with colour combination of plants due to his photography background. He was flexible with changes and very easy to deal with and provided detailed professional drawings and also information to maintain and care for the garden into the future.
Alex and Sandra,
The Updated GardenMy experience with Mark from Mr Goddard Landscape Design in the design and construction of my front garden was enjoyable from start to finish. Mark produced several designs and incorporated my favourite aspects of each into my final plan. The result was a truly collaborative design, which was also constructed within my financial constraints. I now have a truly beautiful front garden which has added to the street appeal and value of my property, and brings me great joy. A wonderful experience.

The Native GardenWe had just achieved a major dream by moving into our brand new home that was safe and comfortable and could share with our family and friends. The home came with a dirt garden with mud and dust being constantly tracked into the house. We realised that a garden needed to be installed to reduce this and decided on getting something purpose designed by Mark that would compliment our home. We never really considered what this might include except that it should be neat, allow us to entertain, require minimal maintenance and consider the environment. The plan we chose was fantastic and incorporated an outdoor kitchen and fire pit as a part of an entertainment area for our regular parties. A planting scheme was chosen that didn’t require too much watering and kept the home cool in summer and warm in winter.
Heather and Alex,
The Brand New HomeWe are a working couple who have been living in our ¼ acre 90’s home for a few years now. We wanted to give consideration on how to best utilise the garden to suit our current entertainment needs, but also consider future additions to the family and on a limited budget. We contacted Mark from Mr Goddard Landscape Design to offer advice on how we could get what we wanted without breaking the bank. Mark suggested a long-term plan that suited our D.I.Y. natures to install the garden in stages. Mark returned to give advice on the next phase toward completing our overall plan. This allowed us to experience the garden of our dreams without hurting our hip pockets. Thanks Mark.
David and Amanda,
The Instalment GardenWe recently sold our large suburban home and downsized to something more manageable now that the children have families of their own. Our home has a small courtyard out the back that we wished to turn into our own little oasis but we couldn’t decide on how this could be done. We decided we required the advice of someone who could design our space with some specific elements we wanted. We called Mark to discuss these ideas and he soon came up with a plan that ticked all of the boxes. Since the construction has been completed, it is one of our favourite places that we get to enjoy daily. We would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking to transform and energise their home and garden.
John and Marilyn,
The Small SpaceI have been living in this home for the past forty years and had always been an avid gardener. My age has now caught up with me so I am not able to get around as well as I once could. The garden is quite large and unruly so I called Mark for advice on how this space could be simplified to look after itself whilst integrating a small section I could potter in. Mark provided easier access to the garden, got rid of the lawn and planted trees and shrubs for protection from the elements and to attract native wildlife. I am still able to attend to potted plants and ask Mark back on a regular basis to maintain the garden and indulge me in planting my plants.
Lilly,
The Elderly ClientAs parents to young children, we reminisced recently about how our grandparents had grown fruit and veggies in the back garden and how we used to pick them. Not knowing anything about gardening and not having a lot of extra time, we called Mark at Mr Goddard Landscape Design to create and start a veggie patch for us. Having such a large space, Mark suggested that we might like to add some chickens also so our children also would become interactive with the gardening. Before we knew it, we were producing veggies and eggs that we could also share with our friends and neighbours. Thanks Mark for helping us grow veggies, but also for giving our children the same valuable experience that we did.
