Before Mark helped us, we were often frustrated by the outside of our home. We weren’t happy, but didn’t know exactly what we wanted. Mark helped us discover our story.

We wanted to completely transform our backyard into a friendly place, but make it sustainable and easy to manage. We love old style cottage gardens, but wanted a sanctuary for native birds and bugs. We wanted rainwater tanks, but didn’t want them to dominate. We wanted a shady place to sit in the summer.

We just didn’t know where to start.

Mark asked us what mattered to us most – the environment, wildlife, nature. He asked about what we loved, but also what annoyed us. We didn’t want too much maintenance, but still wanted a space to potter. And we were fed up with plants dying in summer. By the end, Mark knew our minds better than we did. Our backyard is a haven now. For us, and for the bugs and birds. We have a little veggie patch thriving in just the right place, and a garden full of joyous and restful nooks and crannies. It’s functional, friendly, and it feels like home.

Mark has heart, empathy and an amazing mind. He is creative, practical and trustworthy. We couldn’t be happier.
